Getting Separate Audio Channels

Hi

I have an ASUS M3N78-VM with 7.1 sound output. Now instead of using the channels together, I would like to use them in two separate stereo pairs: one for the speakers, and one for the head set.

In theory that should not be a problem, but I could not find any way in the driver to configure that. Do I need a special driver for that? Or do I need to get a front panel audio connector?

You could use a front panel, that's the way mine is set up. When I plug in a headset in the front panel it recognises it and sends the sound to the headset, so it's either or. If you wanted to run separate sound streams simultaneously diverting each to a different output i.e. headset or speaker, you'd need another card.

P.S: I have a Asus P5KC
