getting rid of windows(bootcamp)

    Hi lads
    i bought a macbook with vista installed with bootcamp
    i have 2 hard drive icons on apple desktop
    question is i dont need windows on it prefer mac os
    how do i get space back
    do i just move folder to trash
    or is it more compilcated
    i have my hard drive split into 2 x 30gb and i would like all 60gb for mac
    any help would be grateful

    The O/P has a Mac and wants to remove the Windows partition!

    To answer the original question, just run the Boot Camp setup tool again (get it here if you've not got it). It will give you the option to remove the partition and will automatically return the space to OSX.

    Ok was i missing something, I thought mac used their own system,
    I don`t have a mac but thought they used there own system, did wonder why windows would be installed, but as i have just removed my old 64 bit XP i had this link to hand.
    would be interested to know why a mac had vista installed unless O/P installed it.:lease:

    The latest version of BootCamp will allow you to remove the Windows partion cleanly and easily.

    With the newer Macs having Intel chips it is now possible to install Windows as a second OS on a Mac.

    Many people have Windows installed for Media Center capabilities or for programes for which there is no Mac equivalent...:thumbsup:
