Anybody know of a way to get rid of the adverts when recording Sky +?

I remember playing with some software that had been produced some years back which worked fairly reliably by "reading a specific signal burst and/or recognising the volume increase used when adverts are played" ...the software used these two events as a trigger on/of to pause and restart recording of the incoming signal...thus effectively scrubbing the adverts. It could also be set up to do the same thing on archive recording. Does anybody know of any products which support this (or any other method) today. I am just about to upgrade my sky+ box and build a HTPC and I would not like to think of Gigabytes fast hard disk being given up to the storage of inane adverts........ :D

I havnt heard of any software that can recognise adverts (though i dont know a great deal in this area). It is however very easy to cut out the adverts once the whole program has been recorded.
