Getting New Sony Amp

    I am looking at getting the Sony HTK-25 HC kit. The tv I have Is a Philips 32 Flatscreen with built In DVD player (32pw6826). Will I be able to watch dvd's In DPL2 & DTS as the amp has this but I dont know If the built In DVD does?

    Also will I be able to watch my SKy in DPL2.

    Thanks In advance, I hope Im not being too stupid.

    Sorry do not know that TV but...
    Prologic 2 can be applied to 2channels, so as long as the TV or Sky STB has a phono or SCART output you're fine.
    For DTS or Dolby digital you'll need a digital output.

    Digital output?

    Would this be on the back of the TV?

    If the DVD is integrated then yes a digital output would be somewhere on the TV, they come in two basic versions, electrical or optical.
    The other possibility that slipped my mind was that the TV/DVD player might do it's own DTS/DD decoding and have a 5.1/6.1 phono output, which you could take to your amps 5.1 input.
