We are looking at getting Freesat put in so we can get HD. We currently have an Acer Aspire iDea 510. This is just over 2 years and frequently messes up, so we are thinking of getting a new one at some point, but not quite yet.

Until we do is there a tuner card that would take dual S HD that would work on this? There is the Pinnacle 7010ix which looks good (but may be too big) and a few Hauppage ones. If we got one now we could always use that on the new Media center too (when we get it).

We have XP on it at the moment, can the XP Media Center work with HD satellite input? I read somewhere it doesn't work with S or maybe S2, nor does it work with HD. In which case the Vista Media Center would be needed, which we have had on the Acer but the surround didn't work and there were other issues so we took it off.

If it will be too much hassle then we might delay getting freesat until we look at getting the new media center.

    Thanks
