I've been looking for a while now and had narrowed it down to a Pioneer 433MXE until I got a chance to demo the Hitachi 42PD3000 and, as a result, I've decided to go for that for a few reasons.

    1. The picture quality was, at least to my eyes, superb.
    2. It's a bit more wife friendly than the MXE.
    3. I got a fairly good deal including a wall bracket and installation for £100

John, good call about being wife/family friendly and the deal is quite outstanding, but when we viewed them we both preferred the Panny images.
I`m not planning on buying the Panny tuner but if all else fails .....
