Getting Best Picture Quality

Hi all...am seeking your much needed expert advice!

Have recently purchased a BOSE 321 system and to much dissapointment have discoverd there's no component output into my SAGEM LCD ;(

So...only two options are:

1. Use high-grade S-Video lead out of BOSE into my LCD
2. Use composite outputs of BOSE into one of those SCART convertor plugs, then directly into SCART 1 input on LCD

What in your opinion is the best option to go with - I have read the S-Video can be clearer etc, but then some have said opt for the SCART convertor as this will ensure RGB connections out of the BOSE system!

In addition there is some confusion of the best type of S-Video lead - Monster or JVC?

Your help would be greatly appreciated...

Best

S-video will be better picture quality than composite.

My local hi-fi shop recently told me that they were called in to fix an install for a plasma they had sold, they found that customer's BOSE 321 system was only s-video but their kid's £30 karaoke DVD player had component video and digital sound output so they tried that instead and got better picture quality. Customer was not happy and took kit back to BOSE shop for refund.

It is terrible in this day-and-age that BOSE kit doesn't have RGB or Component output.

Thanks - am gutted and cannot believe it myself! Alas no option to return the system as I got it on the cheap.

Will have a look at S-Video leads...

But not Monster or JVC as you are paying for the name. There seem to be a a number of forum advertisers who sell quality cables and connectors at highly competitive prices and you are likely to get a far better cable for Monster money that you would at Comeyys.
