I have one of these on trial. Unfortunately the GUI is Japanese and not English (despite the fact that the power cord, manual, etc, are GB English/European).

7oaks have been in touch with Yamaha, but no solution yet.

Have they just put in the wrong firmware, or is there some service setting that can be tweaked? Any other suggestions for getting English??

PS: Even without setting it up, the surround envelopment seems noticeably more enveloping than the RX-V2400, but so it should be for the price.

The word 'language' isn't in the online Z9 manual (download it from the Yamaha site), so you should probably contact the supplier in the morning about this.

In the meantime you could use the (hopefully) English manual you have to "guesstimate" what you are doing/seeing in the on-screen menu's. (a real pain)

Nor in the Japanese version! The supplier is checking. Regrettably the Receiver Editor 3.0 for the RX-Z9 does not seem to want to talk to the DSP-Z9 (or this Japanese version anyway) so I cannot work it through the RS232 port either.
