First of all, apologies if i'm dupicating the other thread, but i can't for the life of me find it after going through 100 days of this forum.

Shiney new Panasonic 42" and other gubbins. Love it to bits apart from the buzz, but hopefully the acoustic panel i've ordered will sort that out - i think it's actually lessened, i din't notce it much last night...

    Very cool :)

I notice you have a simlar sony amp to mine (stb-930), are you using it just for the sound or for the video signal too?

If you are how are you finding it, If you arnt why not :)

I am getting a plasma in the next few weeks and need to know if it worth getting a component output a/v amp too.

Adam, I would place the sub somewhere else, also try to lower the L/R's or place the centre higher.

    Not bad system though. :)

I definately agree with those points.

Put the centre on the top of the plasma somehow, will much improve panning.

Also the sub should sound better sitting on the floor and it won't interfere with the rest of your kit if elsewhere.

Nah, just using the Sony for audio, sky and the consoles are going through a JS vga converter and the dvdplayer's straight into the screen via component.

Personally i'm getting a component switch rather than upgraing my amp, mainly because i can't afford it yet, but also coz i've just re-wired eveything and don't want to do it again just yet..

Silver Fuji has gone back and I've now put an MXE on the wall. Amongst other things, I think the charcoal grey looks better than silver as we have no other silver in the room.

Radiator still needs to go !

BTW: the screen is at that high due to a tendancy of my 3 & 1 yr olds to bang their toys on the screen. One Aconda duffed to prove it!!

Sweet job on the wall Party Animal. Your Gallos are shouting 'come back' to each other though. Can you get them more in line, for more fluent panning?

Here's an update on my install so far.
I've added some red/white/blue mood lighting, each selectable on their own etc..

Man you're good at lighting your rooms!

Wish I had a room to light, and a job to pay for it.

Ric, they are just flourescent tubes covered with Gel sheets etc.
I used X10 modules to take care of the remote control aspect.
    Effective and cheap!:smashin:

    Ps
I should have waited until it was dark to take the pics, but i'm on nights and we haven't got any curtains back up yet!

Stellavision, I think you may want to place some shelving, at the least, above your fire - assuming it's in use - as it'll help age/destroy your plasma.

The fire never really gets used anyway.
Our flat is always warm, plus I have a small daughter toddling round and the fire does'nt have a guard.
