further comment unnecessary
This really gives me a chuckle reading comments like this.
I am a Boro fan, I have just heard comments about how
Boudewijn Zenden has moved to Liverpool because it is a
career decision, but the same fans are slating Gerrard.
This is the same team that tapped up Christian Ziege.
Doesn't the medicine taste foul.
Sour grapes aside.........
If Gerrard moves to Chelsea or Real, that is a career move
as far as I am concerned.
Remember mate, everyone works for money.
If you could get an astronomical payrise, quoted in the region
of 3 Million per year more than now, would you stay loyal.
The game is at fault mate, not the players.
Just my opinion.
You are absolutely right and I agree with you entirely.
I support Newcastle so my comments weren't a sour grapes comment.
There are plenty of players who will say up front that they love the club they play for but they have a short career and have to think about the future.
What got my goat with Gerrard is the sheer bare faced hypocracy and all the recent sentimental drivel.
All we have heard for the last few months is how he "never wants to leave Liverpool" and that "its not the money, the money is not important", "I'm just worried that they don't want me", " look how sincere I am" blah, blah, blah.
Anyway, enough of all that, being a Toon supporter Ive got plenty of other stuff to worry about.
Gerrard has been gone for at least 6 months, perhaps longer.
The only fly in the ointment was that Liverpool won the CL. Tough to make excuses about leaving for success when that happens. Hence revert to the "wont slate off the club" etc comments...PJ
Gerrard says he is not leaving for money reasons but to win things???
Liverpool just won the Champs League...I thought winning the biggest prize in European Football (and arguably European Sport) was winning things??? Or did I miss something???
Sounds like something happening under the surface...I don't think he will be the most popular Scouser from now on in...
