basically i'm after a 32" widescreen with good Pic Quality.
no to bother about sound as i'm gett a surround system afterwards.
so come on give me your own opinions.

lets say i've 1000 to play with just for the TV - what do u recommend ?

sorry about the sharpness from my original message - it was not ment to come out like that.

Well i'll give u ladies/gents a bit more to work on.

I've seen The philip 32PW9308 at comet.
Basically i though the Pic was on the poor side of things - but which & home theater magazines Rave about it its Pic Quality.
(could it of been several set running from 1 line, analog etc poor connectors - god knows i'm a NOVIS and a poor speller !)
looking at whats on this forum, basically the Pix Plus does not light many fires for most you, or i'm i wrong.

I'm comparing to my old hitatchi Pro-logic surround of some 10 yrs standing. i would keep it the the wife is after something SILVER.
so basically i'm look for somthing to go with.

    current equipment
    freeview Philips DTR150
    DVD player - JVC XVS42SL (2yrs old)

what TV of 32" wide screen flat varient would go well with it.
What surround sound Pkg or amp & speakers would you suggest.

I could stretch to 1200 if pushed, but would perfere to spend only a Grand.

suggestions are welcome - but not on a postcard
