GeForce Gtx 260 with Hitatchi 32PD5300E

Hi All,

I have a PC with a GeoForce GTX 260 (GeForce GTX 260 | Specifications | GeForce), connected to my Hitatchi 32PD5300E via the AV300 Media Box. I'm currently using S-Video from the card into a scart (which the audio goes into).

To be honest I just cannot get the screen resolution right, and I'm a bit reluctant to spend any more money on cables when I'm not really sure of the best way of setting this up.

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas?

Although the graphics card doesn't have one there is an on-board sound card which should then work. Thanks for the advice. I shall take a look tonight.

I realised the VGA would be best but didn't think I could have audio with it!

From what I've read I can't just use the DVI on the TV itself, would you say that is correct? It's a shame if so because i'm not bothered with the Media Box.

You can, but require a cable and will still need to connect up your audio separate.

Cable required: DVI - HDMI .

A little warning. You may find out it doesn't display, or not the correct resolution.
It's a good idea to have a monitor that you know that works, to adjust the resolution just in case so you can then set the display up :)

It's also a good idea to have your video drivers installed (Mite need the latest).

Used 3 TV's this way, just requires a little patience and a clear mind

Solved this in the end, I took the DVI out from the Gtx with a converter to VGA to the PC port of the Media Box. To get sound I used the existing scart that was taking S-Video and Audio, leaving just audio into Scart 3. For some reason that plays audio when the PC port is in use.

Just got the sort the every so slight flicker now!
