Guys any help on this would be great.

I haven't really looked at my PC for the past year or so except to play Champ man. Now all of a sudden i have a new interest. ITs an Athlon 2400 with the above card - my question is this... with half life 2 and doom 3 around the corner should i upgrade my video card and if so what to (budget around 150) or should i just buy a new machine?

I also have 512mb pc2100 ddr and an audigy sound card etc.

    fankoo

Sell your card for about £40 - £50 and add it to your £150 and buy a radeon 9700 pro or even a 9800 pro.

No need to buy a whole new PC, it sounds fine. Upgrade the graphics card and it will handle HL2 etc fine. A ATI 9700 Pro or better will be fine.
