Gears of War update problem.

Hi all.
As a new 360 owner and Live member I've got lots of updates to get through, but the Gears of War update is causing me problems- every time I start the game the console signs me out of Live, then claims it can't install the update. Very frustrating, as it hasn't happened with any other titles and I'm racking my brain to see what I could be doing wrong and coming up empty! Any ideas?

Odd, r u gold or silver live member? have u got anything else downloading in the background.

U could try a connect the Composite (yellow) ariel cable. I could not update halo 2 with the vga connection, and had to use composite.

Do you have a HDD or memory card... have you got enough free space to install the update?

I updated Gears on Wednesday with a hitch... very odd.

The same happened to me last night but tried again this morning & it worked fine.

Must've just been a problem their end.

I'm a gold member, and it's still happening, very odd indeed.

clear the cache on the hard drive it will b eok then happend to me as well

Just did my GOW update and its killed my box

I had problems with the GOW update. It took a good few attempts to get it to run. Don't know what the problem was it just decided to go in eventually.
