Just think these are only Launch games ie they are rushed and barely push the xbox 360 - cant wait to see what games come out in years time.

one thing i noticed and this is not in a bad way at all is the game seems very scripted. it could go one of 2 ways. done **** poor and wont be any good (not likely) or will be cinematic and have immense memerable moments you will want to repeat. i had this dicussion with a friend about scripting and he wasnt for it at all. basically he likes the idea of freedom ala GTA but the missions on that sometimes are scripted. i love the idea of scripted games when its done right. take all of Call of duty, arguably one of the most memerable games in recent years !! Half life 2 as well, i recall it especially the hovercraft and the whole tower falls into the water b4 you :D i was grinning it was so cool. scripted games Do work when done right and help bring a cinematic feel to gaming. thought for/against, agree/dissagree with me ?

oh and dosnt that unreal 3.0 engine look immense :D imagine what they can do when they have twaeked every nook and crany. someone mentioned these games are coming fast not rushed imo but they need to be ready really. cant wait till they start showing off HDR with it though :D

Kopite4Ever : I would have to agree with you :). It will be 50/50 wether the games any good or not, we havn't really even had the complete story yet either.

As it is one of the first games about, and all the tweaks haven't been discovered yet, I think once we get an eyeful of a few games say this time next year we could end up mistaking a game for a full blown multi million pound movie trailer!! Imagine seeing that somthing you thnk is gonna beb a great movie the all of a sudden, BANG, 'on xbox 360' flashes across the screen. It'd take a while for me to remove my jaw from the flaw, I can see it now.

I expect a lot from these next gen consoles, especially after seeing trailers of final fantasy advent children and watching the final fantasy movie. I know thats just cg movie but that sort of technology should now be in our games (well come november anyway)

that dosnt mean its a bad thing. scripted games when done right are some of the best titles ever. take Call of duty for example  total agreement arguably the best looking title from xbox 360 so far. one of the few that looks amazing that we have seen in game

Yep I agree. As they say in the video it's very similar to a COD style game. Scripted games can be very good indeed. Half Life 2 if pretty scripted but I was playing it again the other night and loved every minute of it (even though i've been through it fully and played most of the levels several times). A good scripted game still gives you the illusion of freedom (which HL2 suceeds at very well) and a bad one just makes you feel like you are going thorugh the motions and with a feeling of detachment from the game. Hopefully this will be one of the better ones :smashin: .

That real-time footage does indeed look incredible. The scripted events don't bother me, I love the CoD type of gameplay.

nope from what im hearing start of 2006 is the earliest, which is strange because its only this and PGR3 that ive seen lots of news for so id have assumed this game is well down the line of production but maybe im wrong.
