Got a new plasma (PV500 - yeah I know ;) ) and tried Burnout 2 and few other games at 60hz (connected via RGB scart). But to be honest I cant see the advantage and wondered if its me or my plasma.

At 50hz the image is slightly grainy but still looks great. But at 60hz the image is clearer but the graphics seems to have a 45 degree slant/flicker to them.

    Any one help?

    Cheers :)

Try a component cable - way better picture than scart. I run all games to a PW6 at 60Hz where there is the option. That grainy look dissappears with component cable for both PAL games (in interlaced) and NTSC games using
    progressive scan.

Make sure your GC has a digital AV out, or you may find when your cable arrives you may have nowhere to stick it, if you will.

Later models removed component out in Europe.

    And in America too.

Yes, 480p on the GameCube is more than worth it. Just play Super Smash Bros Melee in it.
