I have just got a component cable from Lik Sang and it works very well with
    my Pal Cube.

Feed into my Iscan Ultra I get lovely prog scan visuals.

can PAL gamecube itself be made to output Prog scan? and then use component cable output? Will it benefit from component cable without Prog scan? Where to get cable from?

    Thanks

Stormjai - The PAL gamecube is capable and will output progressive scan but only for NTSC output. As it is only the NTSC games have the prog scan built into their software (or perhaps are programmed to make use of the prog scan output). PAL games will display from the component output in interlaced rather than prog scan. However it's still a noticable difference in quality into a Panny PW6 - comparing RGB Scart via RGB2VGA to VGA input and component inputs, the component picture is much sharper and "cleaner".

I too bought from Lik-Sang - took about 2 weeks to arrive via standard post.

    thanks Andy

I will try to get cable - I have Pio 434, and want to get best resolution.

I have freeloader, and may try NTSC game, and check if Prog scan working :)

Incidentally, do deliveries from Lik Sang attract customs? I,m thinking of getting above cable, and MS hi-def kit ( total approx £40).

If you go for a courier delivery you will almost certainly get hit for customs (and a charge from the courier for doing the charges for customs). If you get hit expect £10-15 minimum (and a lot of this is the couriers charge). If you go the slow airmail route you might well not get charged customs duties, due to the sheer number of parcels being moved this way I guess.
