if im not mistaken, there was a big blowout of gateway machines in the states recently..... the questions asked on avs make me think that the only reason to buy a gateway would be if it were ridiculously cheap.....

If it's a US plasma, it's internal frame buffer may only be set to 60Hz and could judder when displaying PAL television or Region2 DVDs.

Would a PAL to NTSC converter work? As I think it is the US version, or would it be better to convert PAL to a computer signal and then into the plasma?

    Thanks
