Are there any cat proof gates, I need to close off part of the house to stop cats getting into certain areas (home theatre)

I'm pretty sure whatever you put up as long as your cat is healthy they will be able to jump it. Is there a reason why you cant just use the doors to stop your cat getting in?

Tried that, the cat runs though the door as you try and close it can't even go out just runs straight in and starts jumping onto the speakers.

So you want something that a human can pass through that a cat can't?

    Don't think it exists.

Try a citrus based air freshener or mint air freshener as cats do not seem to like the smell.

We have an extra high baby gate at the bottom of the stairs - that doesn't stop the cats getting over, but what does is one of those wire clothes hangers that hangs on a radiator. I hang it on top of the gate so it overhangs outwards and the cats won't/can't get over it. I had to do something as one of the cats took to clawing the new stair carpet at night!

However...it's still a gate and you still have to open it, so if your cat is running through the door when it's open then nothing is going to keep it out. (Unless you fit aviary style double doors :D)
