Recently expressing (along with David Lynch And Nicholas Cage) dismay at seeing people watching his films on iphones.
I would agree with him more, if he lost the Ned Flanders look.

Nicely evil. :D
He has started getting a bit precious though, complaining about non actors getting film roles. Err... where did his career start?

well i obviously agree! movies are a 3 dinner course experience not a hand held fast food lunch.... well people can do what they want, i'd say anyone not giving enough respect to the film couldnt care less anyway, so no biggie! just feels to me they are missing out

I dont watch films on phones myself but a good movie is a good movie on any sized screen.

Bit hard to carry a 50" plasma and a bluray player onto an Easy Jet flight though...

I think Oldman, Lynch, Cage et al should be pleased people with iPhones want to use them to watch their films rather than, for example, play some game.

I don't have a TV anymore, I can't watch movies on it because I don't have WI-FI, I can't go to the cinema, hence I think Oldman should shut the @"&£ £& and accept for some people the iPhone is the only thing they've got.

if they cant afford a TV yet can spend £650 on a phone? i think they have the wrong priorities lol

I use the phone for everything, I don't have a TV because I can't watch it, I'm not allowed to effectively, the phone costs me £35 pm and came free with the contract, I use it for everything TV, films, Internet and email etc.

No I've had my life taken from me, all because of a bent police force, I have a bed and a phone and no rights in life, these things happen, why do you think you rarely hear of any serious complaints against the police, because people like me have our rights suppressed. Lost everything they even used my wife against me. It happens to lots of people, you just never hear of it.

you are in the nick with a phone?

believe me, i know they are often just as bent as the people they are chasing. one of my mates died in cells.

No I'm locked down on a mental health ward, my crime, going to the library and using a photocopier so I could send information to the IPCC who are useless, the NHS have now combined with the police to have me sectioned, I'm a chartered accountant and the police were complicit in money laundering some time ago, the can't put me in prison, I haven't committed a crime, although they keep trying to make up crimes, I've had my phones taped and computer system taken over, I got harassed that badly I electrocuted myself and nearly died last year, no one cared.

I have approached six solicitors, too hot to handle, my current solicitor is better but once you have been sectioned you lose all your rights plus they won't let me have assess to my medical records, the IPCC are useless and the press got scared off, I'm monitored by my phone and computer so they know exactly my whereabouts, undercover swarm all over me and a number of records that I have have been wiped, especially computer records. Seriously it's terrible when the police take over your computer, really scary.

Apart from poor Snake's scenario, one other big reason I know is useful to watch movies on a smartphone is that many of us has very limited time to watch all the movies we want to see on our home tv and cinema. So we can catch up with watching those movies that are not essential to watch on a bigger screen, on our smartphone during commuting.

And for film fans especially, its a great way to watch more than you would normally. Ie the films we watch on our smartphone is a bonus as we would not have watch them otherwise. The times we can watch a movie are when we commute to and from work or during lunch times, on holiday, on a long flight/train journey etc.

I dont watch movies on my smartphone, but I have watched some Tv shows and cartoons when I commute. I mostly prefer to read books on the kindle app though.

I've never watched a whole movie on a phone, I think it might hurt my eyes after a while. However, I have watched TV shows during train journeys and I've found that once I've got settled into it with my headphones on it really isn't that bad and I don't really notice the tiny screen.

i think you might need a specialist solicitor. one that is used to this kind of case.

Tried them they said go to the IPCC, who passed it on the police who did nothing, mental health solicitors will only deal with mental health not the police aspect where the NHS and police are combining.

I watch plenty of movies on my 7" tablet as I travel a bit. I wouldn't get to see as many as I could if I didn;t have that device - and to be honest if the move is good and engaging you soon forget its only playing on a tablet !
