Garage conversion and the window questions

Hi guys, I'm doing a garage conversion mostly myself.
Now I have a gap between my breeze blocks and window which will be on the outer bricks. This is about 75mm to 100mm as we've been using thick insulation.
My question would the window would get drilled into the wall on the side how do I bridge that gap? Do I need to use cavity closure's? Will they be storng enough for a window sill on them?
Thoughts and answers if possible

Trying to picture mine. Think (and I'm not entirely 100% on this) that the window is attached to the brick layer

The window insert (from the inside) is quite deep because you have the breeze block, a decent amount of cellotex then plasterboard. I don't think they blocked the cavity - just lined the window bay with plasterboard.

Cheers,

Nigel

cellotex could be a good idea, currently using the softer stuff for in the other cavities but could replace that with polystyrene based to git it extra support :p

It has just occured to me - my garage was just a single coarse of bricks, no breeze blocks.

So I have bricks, then cellotex then plasterboard.
