Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a simple mains powered alarm that uses wired contact switches to protect both of my garage doors from unwanted entry? everything I find is battery powered and wireless.

I have a standalone garage which is situated approx 30 ft from the house, it has full mains power installed and I would like to alarm it without having to rely on battery power/wireless tech so that in the event either the main door or the access door is opened the alarm will sound, quite happy for the sounder to be inside the garage as it is close enough to the house for it to be heard nothing fancy is needed just simple and effective.

If you are up to wiring it, I'd look on Ebay for second hand full wired system with a strobe/bell box....You might pick one up quite cheap, there a Veritas 8 on there now for £20 with all you need....
I sold an old one on there not so long ago for £30 with 6 PIR's, battery backup, strobe/bell box and door contacts, nothing wrong with it, just used.....
