Has anyone seen Gangster No.1? It was out on DVD on 4th December 2000, just wondered if it's any good or not.

I personally did not like it. It did have a couple of good moments though, Malcolm Mcdowell wasn't very good in it. I'd personally try before you buy.

    I rented this. (local library £1.50 :) )
Thought it was pretty crap. The main gangster looked like a weed. Next doors cat looks 'arder than him!

Dont listen to these fools. Its quite a good film not in the same league as GET CARTER though.
Still you may want to rent it out first as it isnt everyones cup of tea but its definetly worth seeing as it kicks the sh-it out of every other terrible british gangster film released over the last five or so years.(CIRCUS, RANCID ALUMINIUM ,LOCK STOCK,FACE ETC)

....and don`t watch it with your kids !!
certainly the language is a little overbearing (don`t mind the violence so much)

My opinion is that with the exception of Jasmie Foreman it's a load of luvies cockneying it up. Not a bad film as such but could have been so much better... It basicly tries too hard... and one scene in particular [involving Foreman is unsustainable in reality... ] (Yeah like I know) But definitely worth a rental if not a buy.
