OK Guys, Hopefully someone out there can assist....

I have a friend who's son who comes round and plays on my sons Gaming PC, which isn't a massively expensive setup, but will play anything we throw at it currently..
Anyway friend doesn't have much money and feels bad that he can't afford to splash on a shiny new system, so I am asking on here if anyone has a full setup that they are looking to offload..

Preferably Intel and Nvidia (As I can assist if it goes wrong and I only use/know the power ratio of these components).

Must be a full system and not massive, will consider small form as well... And be able to offer decent performance.. GTX 670 or above perhaps..

Let me know and I will take full responsibility for the thread and any gear purchased ...

    Cheers guys

I know you said you would prefer Intel and Nvidia, but I have an FX 8350 with a 280X I could offer, fully built of course, what sort of budget are you working with?

Cheers for the offer. We don't have a budget as such (Just looking for a good system at a very good price.) think bang for bucks here rather than top line components. I could build one for him from scratch but think often a full system sale can get more bang!

I have this For Sale - Splitting Gaming PC | AVForums I could do for £500 + Postage, tired of asking high on it and getting nowhere, only thing it no longer has is the SSD as I sold that (see thread).

Could include monitor and peripherals at additional cost, but that's up to you.

I've got a PC with the following components

    MSI HD 7850 OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Cards
AMD A10-5800K Black Edition 3.80GHz (Socket FM2) APU Trinity Quad Core Processor (AD580KWOHJBOX)
Gigabyte F2A85XM-D3H AMD A85X Chipset (Socket FM2) DDR3 micro ATX Motherboard
Corsair Builder Series CX 500w Modular '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (CP-9020059-UK)
    Adata XPG Xtreme v1.0 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C10 2133MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AX3U2133XC4G10-2X)

Which sits inside a Silverstone Fortress FT03 Tower Case - Titanium (SST-FT03T USB 3.0)

I've had it since late 2013 (cost around £700 all in then) - and it runs just about everything I've tried it with on the recommended settings. Currently playing Dying Light on it with no issues.

I've still got all the boxes for the components as well as the case so it could be posted (I have no idea at this time how much it would cost).

I've been toying with getting rid of it since getting an xbox one as most of our needs are taken care of with that and our macbook.

I would be looking to get around £375 for it - as said I'm not sure what the postage would be but could probably meet you half way on the cost (as I'm based in Kent)

Thanks for the offer Buurman and a nice case right there!.

Probably looking for something more meaty in regards to graphics processor.... Needs to be fairly future proof and I personally would consider the 670 as a min spec these days...

Many thanks again, will what else comes along...

no problem Chellon - it's not going anywhere so let me know if you change your mind. I can't really be bothered to split it, or lug it to CEX or similar.

I may put up a for sale on here in the next week or two (again, all depends on how bothered I can be haha)

I've not had any probs playing recent games with the 670, but as you say it's not the most powerful thing out there thesedays

I have just built a complete system with the following specs:

Pentium G3258 (oc'ed to 4.0Ghz on stock cooler 70C load temps) almost new
    Asus z97-P Mobo almost new
Sandisk 128GB SSD 1.5 years old
    8GB Hyper X Fury 1600Mhz CL10 (1x8GB) almost new
Radeon 7950 (XFX DD) second hand no warranty but fully working
    Corsair VS650 almost new
Samsung Syncmaster 22" 1680x1050 Monitor (222b) old, fully working, no screen faults
AVP Storm P28 case with additional 120mm side fan (and front USB 3.0) brand new

Would be looking for £295, or £255 without the monitor, excluding delivery

I will say that the 7950 is almost exactly comparable with the GTX 670. Have a look here and also keep in mind that the DD version is clocked at 1Ghz, as opposed to the boost edition (benchmarked in the link) which I think tops out at 925Mhz.

    http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1033?vs=1349

(no OS included, can ship with win7 30 day trial installed)

    Hi Sable, Thanks for posting....
Do you happen to have any pictures? GPU looks OK, although I do have an affinity to the Green side! :)

    Hi Sable,
OK been speaking to my good friend.. This looks promising apart from the GPU being from the RED side!.

I notice it only has the 120 SSD and no HDD? Is there one in there? Also no keyboard and mouse?

Assuming that there is no HDD or keyboard and mouse, we would have to purchase these so would like to offer £210.. I know it is less than you tabled, but with the above extra expense , it is perhaps going to push him over the 'wife will kill me' total!

    Do let me know..

    Cheers

Hi mate, I am sorry to say that a facebook friend that is local to me has offered to buy it.

I wouldn't be moving on price anyway so likely it wasn't going to happen.

I hope your mate finds something nice.

if you're still looking - I can prob let mine go cheaper without the gfx card in . . .

you'd then be free to pop in something of your choosing

Let me have a think (really got no clue as to what price gfx cards are worth these days)

or just make me an offer - as I said it's not really being used ...
