Hi guys, I'm looking into getting a decent gaming PC and since it's been a good few years since my last PC I'm a little concerned over the ability to run the most demanding games. I'm interested in FPS games and driving games. I want to be able to run games like ARMA 2 as well and the Day-z mod.

Will a budget of between £600 and £850 get me what I need. This is my budget for the tower it self not a monitor.

I'm hearing all sorts about graphics cards formations such as crossfire and SLI (baffled)

    Do I need 4gb, 8gb or 16gb of ram

What's the best graphics card Radeon or GeForce?

And which online pc builders would you recommend?

I also want to be able to run today's games at maximum detail, is this possible with this sort of budget.

    Cheers guys

Ps could you recommend your own systems with a brief breakdown of the contents

Generally they're for high end stuff, unlikely to be worthwhile for an all-new system on your budget.

8GB is generally the most sensible choice at the moment.

Depends on how much you end up spending on the card but at the sort of prices you're probably looking at(~£200) they're both competitive

It depends on the resolution, but if it's medium to low (1920x1200 or below) then for most games definitely, a few do have one or two options designed for really high end cards but you could still max all of the sensible options on them.
