Gaming on RP?

After numerous problems with an FQ75 then DX100s, i find myself unable to source a TV without problems.

I am now considering a rear projection set. I know that you are not reallt meant to play games on them etc. What i want to know is, has anyone used a rear projection for some time and played consoles on it?. Also any recommendations for a set with a bright crystal picture?

I was in exactly same boat as you. Bought Sony ps44 RP - play games on it no problems - just be sensible ie dont leave a static screen on for any length of time. Screen burn is actually pretty rare.

How does the RP compare to the CRT??

Is the image quality as good and what are the games like on it?

I've played Playstation games on my Tosh RP and they look fine, no probs.
Although I believe you can't use light guns on them. I don't know as I've never tried it, even though I do have a light gun somewhere.

Are movies nice and clear and (this is a strnage one) where do you put your centre speaker?? i take it the set is too thin on top?

Movies are v clear.

I put my centre speaker on top of the TV, it's just seep enough to support a speaker. Don't know about the newer models though
