Having a games day in a couple of weeks, and just wondering about setup. A friend is bringing around a projector which provides a minor setup problem.
With all my kit (5.1 AMP & TV obivously) currently at the front of the room, I need the best setup for a projector from what will be about a 5m cable run away.
Would it be better to run a component cable extension, which would be the easiest as I wouldn't have to extracate my xbox and HD DVD drive from their homes in a nest of wires. Or should I put everything up the back, and just run optical to the amp up front.
Seems I'm up for anything between £20-30 (component seems top end of this), but as these will be budget leads, will either suffer worse over that length of run? Not wanting to spend too much for just a one off day.
If anyone can point me to some specific leads would be greatly appreciated!!
