Gaming Charts - Olympics vs Batman

As Olympic fever sweeps the nation gamers are showing no signs of letting it slip them by as Sega's tie-in title London 2012: The Official Video Game took the top spot in the gaming charts for the second week running.

There was another Olympic licenced entry in at number three, unchanged from last week, in the shape of Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games

Competition is admittedly pretty weak at this time of the year, with no real big-hitters freshly stacked on the shelves (the only new entry in the whole top forty was Risen 2 down at fourteen), but Sega's sporty offering still saw off the latest in the ever popular Lego series of games.

Lego Batman 2, which itself has done well thanks to a buzz around the licence, held onto the number two spot, and following down at number four, riding the wave of fans flooding out of the cinema having seen The Dark Knight Rises was Batman: Arkham City.

Rounding out the top five, and the only challenge to the Olympics vs Batman show was Skyrim.
