Saw an advert in the 'paper today that Game are (in-store only) selling any PS2/GC/GBA/X-Box games for 99p, (including brand new games with a max value of £39.99), for 99p provided you give them 4 complete and working games in exchange.

Seems like a good deal if, like me, you have bought some games from Ebay cheaply or completed others. Starts today for a limited time only.

Just do what every one else is doing and go down to Dixons and pick up 4 games in there half price closing down sale (the £2.99 ones :) ) and then take them to Game and trade them in for the £39.99 game you wanted - you just pay 99p. Total cost including the 4x £2.99 games and 99p is £12.95.

Game were actively telling us to buy the games for £2.99 and trade them in straight away! All of the £2.99 games have now gone from my local store, but they are still selling games for £4.99, So Buy 4 of them and give them 99p and you can get any new game up to £39.99 for just under £21, I only wish this offer went on forever!!!!

Game are pretty good when it comes to returns, they have a 10 day no quibble returns policy, but that is with receipt so I don't know how you will get on without it. The 4 game trade in + £1 will finish this weekend so I bought MarioParty5 to play for a laugh for a week, then next week when Red Dead Revolver is released I will exchange MarioParty for that under the 10 day exchange policy
I only wish MarioGolf was released next week, that gets released the following week so there was no possibility to stretch out the 10 days for that one, ah well, it's been a great week for me, I got hold of Disagaea for the equivalent of only £21, there were no £2.99 games around my area to trade so I had to buy £4.99 ones to trade instead.

im sure that ive read on another forum that some people have been able to get instore vouchers back, so they can wait for releases of future games.

I also want to return my game that I got from this offer as I've almost completed it, (Simpsons Hit And Run GC).

What reasons do you need to give to swap it within the 10 days if you have the receipt as I don't think they would accept that I have nearly finished it!?

    Regards,
    Chris

Do they all have to be the same type? I mean can you change PS2 games for a new XBOX game?

I completed Ico for the PS2 within the 10 days, when they asked why I was returning the game I just told them I had completed it :D I don't think they care too much, I mean it makes no difference to the shop staff.
Mind you, I wish I'd kept that game, was pure class!

Unlucky mate. I think Ico is one of only a few games I wouldn't get rid of if they ever put this promotion on again. Unlike anything else on the PS2.

As i'm one of those people who always misses out on special offers, have there been any as good as this one? Almost missed this one actualy, just seemed too good to be true so I ignored it at first. £3, 12 old games (plus 9 quid spent at CEX) for 3 brand new games. I haven't got the time to play even one of 'em but can't complain :D
