I am one of those 4o+ gamers who unitl they ventured into the world of Xbox live thought they were pretty good (well ok). I have only been online for a week or so and would like to add gamers of my age and abilty to my 'friends list'.

I'm still a novice when it comes to online gaming but hopefully getting better day by day Tiger, COD2, GRAW and FIFA are the games I've tried on line anyone wishing to play someone woh has re-found his youth or as his wife would say 'a big kid who never lost it' let me know....18 holes at Sawgrass or a deathmatch in Stalingrad let me know

Cheers

Oi you cheeky bugger! - we've been playing games since long before you were born! :lesson: ;) :rotfl:

However, for the record I have a few more years before I hit the big four zero. :D

And look at his weedy gamerscore. Kids today eh? When I were a lad we wouldn't have shown our faces on a forum like this with less than 10,000 in the gamerscore bank :rotfl:.

I'm surprised at the number of 40+ers too though. Thought I was one of the oldest at 36 but now I feel young again. Although I am old enough to remember going to the arcades and playing a game for 10p, I bet our 17 year old friend can't lay claim to that. I'm not talking about one of them new fangled 10p's that look like 5p's though, oh no. I'm talking about the old big ones, from back when 10p was worth something and it felt like it too.

Yep, it is quite refreshing to be amongst so many gamers of a similar (or older) age... Live is so much better since I found these forums :smashin:

And yes 10p used to buy you quite a lot - 30 mojo's for instance... or a bus ticket to school... and my school was a fair distance away :)

Oh they certainly do, teenagers are by far the worst for this... you should hear some of the excuses they come up with for being late for work  I would never have had the nerve to use them at their age (or even now for that matter!).

We only ever got 20 mojo's round our way :(. Actually, there was one shop which did 4 for a penny but it was in a dodgy area any you only went there if you didn't mind the risk of getting your money nicked. It was rarely worth the extra Mojo's :).

We should watch out though, better not rib the young 'un too much... He might tell his mum on us :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: .

I could get 20 Fruit Salads for 10p at my local sweets shop :D
