I've just dug out my old Digital Edge F1Sim steering wheel and pedals but can't find any drivers that will allow it to work in Windows 7 64 bit when using a sound card with gameport.

I did try an old USB converter that has a three option switch, and although the game pad selection allows both wheel and pedals to work, it's more like a switch - you're either going straight or full lock, and nthing inbetween. Same for the throttle and brake. Windows sees it and I can 'calibrate' it in Windows, but its pretty much a switch, so no good for driving games like that.

So my question is, are there any gameport to USB adaptors that actually work and allow the full analogue range of movement to be translated correctly, or do I have to buy a new wheel and pedals?

TIA.

Bumperoonie...

Anyone with any recommendations would be appreciated, otherwise I'll be looking at either rewiring the wheels and pedals to a USB connector from a USB joystick (good luck with that), or buying a new wheel and pedals.

And then of course, looking for recommendations!

Cheers
