Found it tonight, the Gamefly PC and Console game streaming service has come to the UK for the Fire TV only, I don't think it works with the Fire TV Stick?

I've tried it and it's not bad, you do need a bluetooth game controller like the one Amazon sell, and it does recommend an ethernet connection. I've tried it with homeplugs on my current Plusnet ADSL broadband of around 17mbps, don't have fibre yet.

And the games aren't bad, I tried Grid and it played pretty well, it has some graphics glitches but overall it's very smooth, the controls lag a little but not terrible. I also tried Red Faction and it was the same although the controller lag was more obvious.

Anyway if you have a fast internet connection, a bluetooth controller and an Amazon Fire TV give it a go, the app is free and small and you can try every game for 10 minutes for free, after which you have to sub to a monthly subscription which I think is like Netflix, no contract, the pricing still seems to be on dollars though for that in the store.

This video will give you an idea of what it's like:

I should add I found the app on my Fire TV by going to the games section, selecting action games, then filtering the games shown by average user ratings of 4 stars or more, then the app was right at the end of the list if games shown.

Interesting how Amazon have removed the app? I still have it and can still play the games for the free 10 minutes trial, but it won't let me subscribe to any of the game packs and gives me an error. Hopefully this was a test for the service in the UK? I would sub to the drive pack.
