    can somebody tell me what the freeloader is and how much it costs as i have read it enables ntsc games to be played

    Yes thats pretty much it. Its a cd that you boot your cube with, select the country of the game, put the disc in and away you play. 99% of games will work fine, some earlier versions of the freeloader would not play some of the newer games coming out. Get one from videogamesplus or lik-sang with Resi Evil 4, its awesome.

    It temporarily changes the country region setting on your gamecube so you can play US and JPN games on your UK gamecube.

    As for how much, instead of buying Freeloader I bought Action Replay from Game.uk.com as it was only £9.98 and as well as the cheat codes it also includes the Freeloader tool.

    It works perfectly as it contains the most upto date version of Freeloader.

    Freeloader is great! I just got a v.1.06b Freeloader and RE4 yesterday and they work fine together.

    Forgot to mention that with Zelda and a couple of other decent games potentially coming out earlier in the US this may be a good time to get a Freeloader.
