Any one know what kind of discs it is that the GC uses?
I thought they were just 8cm DVD discs but now I have read elsewhere that they are some other system and that the Panasonic Q has two lasers, one for DVD and the other for games.
If this is true then Backups are out of the question.

back ups are impossible the discs are like 3inch big. I.e. TINY!

I believe they also use compression technology which wouldnt work on a normal cd rom reader

They are based on the optical disc invented by matsu****a and can hold 1.5gb of information.
Being optical they virtually eliminate loading times they are very impressive and it looks like Nintendo have stopped piracy at last.
