dont be too down, there is something called the Viper GC (search in google), this will allow you to boot your homebrew games and backup games.

You can't copy GC games by putting them in a DVDrom drive - they can't read the disk, this Viper thing uses some kind of serial port to transfer data to the PC which you can put on a mini DVD - unfortunately the Viper can't read many types od MiniDVD. I think it's a waste of time and money really - you can buy GC games for less than a tenner now and even less secondhand.

    playing gc backups is easy
all you need is the ethernet adapter for gc and the necessary programs
dont ask me where to get it all on these forums though, its against rules :p

It looks as though the GC is on it's way out, abz. With the low prices and low shelf space it's getting in shops now and with the Revolution system apparently round the corner and all. Piracy might give it a little bit of life - like with the Amiga and Playstation, but I can't see anyone how anyone who develops for it will be happy lol

It wont disappear since there are too many around still and its doing 'ok' rest of Europe.

Yes you can play backups but it will never be to the scale of Ps2/Xbox.
