Great review, definitely a purchase, if only because Rachel McAdams is in it! Huge fan loved Redeye.

Love this movie, literally the only complaint I have is the cute doggie doesn't have as much screen-time as the poster suggests

Are these lack of extras in "B" movies a sign of the ever growing streaming generation? Obviously, blockbusters still get the special treatment for physical copies, but I can't help but feel this is a stream purchase rather than a buy for me and with very few extras it kind of seals the deal.

Watched it Saturday, started off great then into silly then stupid mode.
Rachel and Jason are better than this and it ended up being farce because at the end you did not feel anything towards anyone if they lived, died or disappeared. Could have much much better, the chance was there for it to be.
Michael C Hall in for 2 minutes.. SHAME!

Anyway thanks for the review CAS (BIG UP :D)

Yeah I think farce sums it up but its not meant to be serious other than it has some surprisingly seriously impressive bass and for 5.1 a fantastic audio mix
Both the wife and I loved it

One of the most original comedies I've seen in years. If you like this dig out Clue.

Yep! Got some real bargains via the Wuaki.tv app on my LG tv... Supports Dolby Vision and Atmos(unfortunately Atmos isn't supported on my tv.. Still Dolby digital + that sounds great via my Samsung hw-k950 soundbar with upmixed 5.1.4.

Just finished watching on iTunes. Fortunately I didn't pay for it as it's without doubt the worst movie I've watched this year! The dialogue sounds like it was written by a bunch of 16 year old school kids.

A 100 mins of my life I'll never get back! Personally I'd give it a 2/10. :(:thumbsdow

      I wasn't doubting you, just confused :D

Looks like it's a digital only 4K release.

Yes,there seems to be a lot of digital only uhd titles, the app on my LG tv supports Dolby vision, hdr.Geostorm was another title that never got a 4k disc release, just digital.i've always been a physical media kind of guy but these uhd versions are impressive!

I hadn't paid a lot of attention to the reviews and the film but the impression I had walked away with from skim reads was it was a flat out comedy about gamers taking things too seriously; but gamer I assumed traditional board gaming (to which there is basically a passing mention in the film). The Mrs and I were a bit surprised that frankly is very quickly turned our to be a more engaging thriller than many thrillers we watch... the hook being once you like characters you care about them and the film is more involving! So in this case we really enjoyed the build up and subsequent ride.

Although there were some great moments and some decent jokes we didn't find ourselves LOL though as the mood of the film seemed a bit all over the place with a few 'dark' moments (cough the end!) and some plain silly (the dog!). It also had a few moments which were insanely cringeworthy (handling of the revolver), and some set pieces which should have been stand out classics but somehow didn't gel (the conveyor belt, the entrance to the plane) because they over did them.

Still, glad we watched it, will watch it again sometime and a shame I could only buy it on bluray rather than 4k.

As to the comparisons with Clue, I can see where they are coming from but Clue was flat out played for laughs and was a giggle at every turn. The violence and threats of violence in Game Night, for us at least, made it much harder to laugh and enjoy the ride freely.
