Yet again (5 times this year so far) I have ordered a product from Game.net first thing in the morning (way before their 2pm supposed cut-off) with 1 business day delivery.

A couple of phone calls during the day, "Yes Mr Customer your item will probably ship today. They usually get picked up around 5.30pm".

Arrive to work this morning "Your order is currently being picked & packed".

    GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !

Any reason why you choose game over gameplay or simplygames, both of which I find tend to be cheaper and more reliable?

I bet they get around this issue by saying that it's delivered the next day after it's posted, cheeky beggers. Gameplay get my vote too for what it's worth.

I've ordered from gameplay a number of times, but the order I placed yesterday is still stuck at "Ordered". I'm not impressed this time.

Really? I'm havn't got a clue. Regardless I've always had a positive experience from gameplay and tend to avoid Game as it is.

I'm sure you're right bisoner, Game and Gameplay are part of the same group of companies. I believe Game acquired gameplay, although it's been left to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary or something like that, the way that Alienware are going to be left to operate after their purchase by Dell completes in a month or two. I use gameplay but very rarely buy from Game.

wonder if that means they'll stop doing the XPS units and just point gamers to Alienware?..heh
