Game freezing

Hi all,

I finished off The Pitt over the weekend, and headed back to Megaton to sort out all the extra goodies I'd gotten a hold of. After this, I thought I would do a bit of exploring to some areas I've not yet been to.

The closest place to Megaton that I haven't visited is Fort Independence, which is right next to Fairfax Ruins. However, when I tried fast travelling to Fairfax Ruins, the game freezes on the loading screen...very annoying. Okay, I thought, I'll just travel directly to it, but it turns out that when I even get into the vicinity of these locations, the game just freezes and the 360 needs to get turned off and back on.:mad:

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Do you think I just need to clear my cache, or could it be something more sinister?

If anyone who owns the three DLC happens to be playing, I'd appreciate if you could have a look in this area and see if this is a problem for others, or if it's just my game that's screwed up. Thanks.

Clear the cache, mainly because I had freezing problems in the past. However that was sorted, once I cleared the cache once or a couple of times.

Cheers TVR - didn't want to go to the hassle of clearing the full 360 cache, so I just cleared Fallout 3's cache using LB + RB + X while the game was loading, and that seems to have done the trick.

I've only ever cleared my cache (sounds a bit rude) once, it cleared out all the updates you recieve for games over the internet, i guess yeah it is like defragging a pc but more like clearing your browsing history which is not a bad thing. Once you've done this and then play a game, any updates you previously had are then downloaded again.
