What the best software to back up games to CD so that the kids can play the back up version?

The peskey ones have a nasty habit of scratching them to destruction!

Most PC games have some kind of copy protection built in, so playing from a backup will require the use of a hacked .exe file, or some other kind of crack to be used. CloneCD is a very good backup tool, which can bypass some basic protection, but not all. Have a look on GameCopyWorld for more info. ;)

Could always give Alcohol 120% a go, seems to "backup" most CDs, including those stupid protected music CDs.

    Cheers all

Alcohol is reasonably good but some of the newer protections defeat it, such as StarForce 4.

Finding 'NoCD' cracks is possible, the site broona mentions is the best known and if it's available it'll probably be there.
