A friend of mine lost her Galaxy S an it turned up a few weeks later at a police station (that never happens does it?). Anyway, she's defected to an iPhone but before she cashes in the Galaxy S she needs to get the pics off it so I said I'd take a look.

The only problem is that the phone is dead (won't charge or power on at all), I've even tried a second battery but still nothing which is a mystery in itself.

Now I took the memory card out and put it in my card reader but it's completely empty so my question is, does the Galaxy S save photos to the phone memory by default or should they have been on the memory card?

I should also mention that I've checked the water ingress sensors and they are all still white so it's not water damaged, god knows what happened to it in it's absence!
