I just bought a Vidikron TGS 301, and need help fixing this problem. No matter what I do with the lens, I can't seem to make the green CRT sharp like the red and blue are.

What is most likely my problem, and how can I go aout fixing it?

    Thank you,
    Adrian

It looks as though the electronic focus control needs adjusting properly.

I don't know the Videkrons as well as I know Seleco, but have a look for a device about the size of a pkt of 10 cigarettes somewhere around the back of the tubes. It may have three or possibly six adjusters on it. If six, look closely for any words printed or moulded in to the surface. You may see 3 labled 'screen' and the other 3 labled 'focus'.

Leave the 'screen' ones well alone. The 'focus' ones are what you need. There's one for each tube - R G B. Middle is usually green. Twisting the adjuster should make the lines of the green grid thin or fat.

    Regards
