just seen the new web design...not impressed
When did this happen was on there earlier and didnt notice anything?
just seen it
Ill go have a look then.
Well its certainly 'blue' quite like it myself. Old one was a bit bland
How much more blue could this be? And the answer is, none. None more blue.
Yes its very very BLUE
I wish they'd stop sending me their bloody promotional emails every 2 days I deleted my details from their site and stopped using them ages ago but still they come!
That winds me up too, get the updates all the time, when nothing has changed.
There's nowt wrong with black print on a white (or off-white) background. Bland it may be, but at least it stops eye strain.
why does the special offers take up 3/4 of the page an new releases get a tiny section at the top i wanna know whats out.i like the fact they are pushing the special offers as there are some real gems at good prices from future ent but come on MORE NEW RELEASE SPACE PLEASE
I just have to say having not bought dvd in months, i got some from my old reliable supplier..... who appear not to be so good anymore..... website and all!
I have never used Future Ent before. Can anyone tell me what the service is like please?
The prices are very good from I have seen on the net.
i`ve used them fpr about 2 years never had a problem at all huge thumbs up from me
I used to use them. Then I had a change of heart.
Now I refuse to use them.
http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40219 (read to the end, as it's not all about cancelling orders)
They're fine so long as you don't need to return or cancel anything. They charge you to cancel and you also have to pay return postage, even if items are damaged in transit. They're also often very slow to ship DVDs that they say normally ship in 3-5 days. In my past experience, they rarely did - sometimes I had to wait 6-8 weeks.
I've found cheaper prices, faster delivery times, and WAY better customer service elsewhere!
Yep..agree with the great SG..very poor service from F.E...
Advertise discs that "Ship withing 3-5 days", take your money straight away, and then 2 weeks later when it is still out of stock and you harrass them for info, tell you it hasnt even been released yet & they dont know when its going to be..and then charge you for cancelling the order !!.............
........And still advertise it on their site as "ships within 3-5 days"
Thanks for the reply silverback, squirrelgod and ldr.
Interesting that you have found another supplier squirrelgod, that is better and cheaper.
Who is that please?
For R1s, I mainly use:
www.cd-wow.com (best service I ever experienced from anywhere, including Amazon)
I replaced FutureEnt with www.absound.ca after recommendations from Confucius and Encaser and haven't looked back since
Future Entertainment are fine as long as you don't mind Canadian versions with french on the cover. Their service is very good. I usually have R1 titles, a week before their american/canadian release date.
A warning though, I preordered LOTR : Extended edition in the summer for 27.99 by November the pre-order price had dropped to 24.99. I was charged 27.99
They charged my card when I ordered it and they charge a fee for cancellations so it wasn't work cancelling and re-ordering.
Anyone who still thinks Future Ent are fine to use, should read this thread:
I'm SO glad I stopped using them!!!!!
had a look at absound an have to say im less than impressed you have to search for every title you want surely that cant be right am i doin something wrong SG ??
That's right, you have to search for every title (unless you browse through the sales area). And they don't provide any details of the titles either so you have to know what you're buying.
Also, they don't have much in stock, so you might have to wait a bit for anything other than new releases.
Once despatched though, orders usually arrive in 4 working days, and they're packed really well in really tough cardboard boxes or super-padded international shipping bags. Haven't had a single cracked case or loose disk from them and I've ordered loads!
If you don't like the web site mate, fair enough - it is a bit crap. But I've saved a bomb on DVDs and CDs - most of their stuff is so cheap! Probably because they don't spend all their dosh on a flash website
One other warning: You have to wait a while before you can notify them about orders lost in post. I had one order that hadn't arrived after 10 weeks and they emailed back to say they were getting notification through that orders within that particular mailbag that they just dispatched were just arriving now. Sure enough, my DVD arrived a few days after that! Probably that mailbag was held up by UK customs
I like 'em anyway - up to each individual what they use according to their needs
Oh, one other thing: they put the true value of the goods on the customs slip on the outside of the package but don't include the P&P charge (which they are actually supposed to ) so make sure that your order doesn't exceed about $36-$38 (canadian) before p&p to keep customs off your back
Used AB sound for the first time a while ago, yes the website is a bit basic. But if you know what you are looking for then all is fine. And the prices tend to be near identical to DVD soon once shipping is added. Very reliable company, who i would and have used again.
Cant bring myself to use dvdsoon heard to many bad things.
