Hi i have noticed that the bright reds on my Hitachi plasma look rather strange. I noticed that there are "horizontal dark" lines in the reds, for example a red snooker ball is not so well defined anymore. When i switch off the Sony skybox the problem seems to have gone. Could this maybe not be a plasma screen problem but a SKY box problem?
Sorry if this is a bit vague but cant explain it any better than this,

Depending on the DVD player they can correct the problem when decoding the MPEG data...so you seem to be lucky there.

As for Sky I don't know of any cheap option...external scalers fix this problem but can cost anything from £300 for a second-hand Lumagen Vision or iScan Ultra to several thousands of pounds...guess it depends on how much it bugs you.

    Cheers, Lee
