As well as Wetwang, we also have The Land of Nod here in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Pity Me is a corruption of a Norse name BTW
I sometimes cut through Pity Me on the way to the Arnison Centre. I know a few people from there. There used to be a recording studio on the front street and when my dad was a taxi driver he took Madness there. He bollocked Suggs for putting his feet on the dashboard :)

Newbiggun and Longbenton always amuse me, especially how I pronounce them "New big 'un" and "Long bent 'un" :D

Three of my favourites in the UK are:
Potto, N Yorkshire;
Ryme Intrinsica, Dorset
Toller Porcorum, Dorset

In the States, there are, among many others:

Intercourse;
Jim Thorpe;
Rough and Ready;
King of Prussia, all 4 in Pennsylvania;

and
Truth or Consequence, New Mexico

That's a pity. It's a nice little town. Hope you get there eventually.

New Mexico is a fantastic state; one of my favourites.
Thanks :)
We were going to do the NM section of route 66, then head down to Tombstone AZ via Truth or Consequences.
