Apart from watching your uncoordinated grandma playing Samba De Amego or Dance Dance Revolution have you had any gaming moments that made you laugh out loud?

I got Top Spin for my birthday on Saturday and had myself in stitches designing a player :rotfl: Mongo has now won a number of titles and is shooting up the rankings:laugh: The Gimp will come next....haven't found any rubber outfits to buy yet :(

    What a game :D

Maybe we should have a competition to see who has designed the most ugly looking player. :D

Planetside is full of amusing moments.

My favourite was trying to take out a Skyguard (jeep with AA rocket launcher) using a Pheonix (guided missile).

I was desperately taking shots to hit them, as they were desperately charging towards me to try and run me down. The tension was pretty high!

Just as he was getting very close to me, an enemy infiltrator (soldier in an invisibility suit) came up behind me and killed me.

And two seconds later he was killed as the Skyguard blasted through where I'd been and straight into him. :rotfl:

Counter Strike was very amusing, the joyful antics that could be had when 6 fellow fragmeisters would charge into a bottleneck guns ablazing, while poor pistol holding me would throw in a flashbang over their heads to blind them all.

Suffice to say you could hear the screams from a mile off and I would get a nice free gun upgrade......hehehehe.

Other amusingness was to drop on peoples heads while they camped somewhere and stab them to death from above.

I have had many moments where I have had to put a gamepad down becuase of crying with laughter, but I am always to drunk to remember them :)

During a long session playing Doom 2 I was trying to make a jump from one ledge to another. I wanted to make sure I got the maximum run up and went to one edge of the ledge then to see if I had any more space for a longer run up I looked behind me... IN REAL LIFE! I realised I'd been playing long enough and went and made a coffee heheh! :rotfl:

Oh and practically all of Day of the Tentacle (the version with the sound). ;)

'two seconds later he was killed'

'you could hear the screams from a mile off'

Funny? I guess you had to be there ;)

Playing VietCong, calling your team into a huddle and letting off an M79 round. Whoever has blown their team mates furthest away wins.
    Landing in trees scores double.

Have to agree about Day of the Tentacle.

    Monkey Island 1:
The bit in the mansion with fake lips. It was text only but I was laughing all afternoon!

    Monkey Island 2:
    Funniest game ever made.

    Monkey Island 3:
The Pirate Song (and most of the rest of it)

Not meaning to dwell on a series.... :)

In CS flashbanging your own team is extremely naughty and will get you in a lot of trouble. It is quite a funny activity getting people wound up.

Note when you flashbang someone their screen goes entirely white for around 5-10 seconds and you cannot see nought. When this happens in CS it usually means you are about to die.

The funny thing about online games is that you have to play them for a while, then things just become funny :) Just the same as multiplayer console games. The funniest times are watching n00b players just make mistakes and listening to running commentary from fellow sarcastic players :)

I agree on the Lucasarts adventure games though :)

    Doom.
    The 1st time I found a chainsaw. Christmas 1995 PS1.
It still makes me smile to this day.
I didn't survive very long but the Imps had some very sore stomachs.

I was playing a good friend at the superlative world wide soccer on my beloved Sega Saturn. I can recall us playing Blackburn vs. Chelsea and it was getting tense as the score, nearing full time was 3 - 3.

Now, you have to understand that these game nights were often ultra-competitive and there was never any letting up.

Anyhow, with the tension building, my wife walked in from a girls night out and said hello to us both.....as my pal turned to say hello, I, not realising that he was not looking at the game, let a long range shot rip, which flew into the top corner beating his keeper hands down.

Of course, I beat him 4 - 3 and he got very upset, accused me of cheating and he got in a right huff. I pointed out that it was simply a case of bad timing and that I had not cheated - but he was quite literally fuming.

To be honest, does not sound as funny as it was, but, 6 od years on, as thirty soemthings, we still argue about that infamous night....:)

Reminds me of playing a cousin at Doom over the link cable.
    2 tvs back to back.
The game placed you both on the same level in a different place.
Sometimes the level could be over in seconds.
Creep up behind and pull the trigger.

The old versions of Fifa were always a lot of fun when you had the option to turn off fouls and leave injuries on with unlimited substitutions. It was great to see how many of your mates players you could cripple in one game.
