I'm trying to connect my digibox (Panasonic) via scart to the RGB inputs on the plasma. I get a signal but cant make it stable.
Anybody know what the set up should be or how to do it another way?

    Unstable Fujitsu

Can you confirm the spec of the cable you are using.

The set up on your SKY box menu.

And the set up of the input menu on the PDS-5002.

    Regards

Think I've sussed it now Joe.

Apparently the Scart output doesnt have the horizontal and vertical sync that the Fuji needs so i have to get some sort of spliter or pass it through a hub.

Dont think there is a way of connecting the digi box direct. Mine only has scart and RF outputs. Are there any digiboxs with component output?

    Thanks for replying

    Regards

RGB signal gets it sync on a scart from the composite running on pin19 out of Skybox. If the Fuj can't accept composite sync you may try soldering a resistor of approriate value between Pin 19 and Green signal pin on scart plug to create a "sync on green" scart lead. I've forgotten the value to use but a search on here for posts with resistor and RGB in them should bring it up....

If this cheapy alternative doesn't work then it's VGA box time...

As per earlier posts there are two options.

    01. SCART to RGB+C on BNC cable up to the plasma display. The 'C' goes to the Composite input - if you are not using it for anything else - and you set the panel to RGB with SYNC on Video.

(I don't have a Fujitsu here at the minute so you may want to check the menu structure on the Component input as some display panels allow you to use one of the five BNC connectors on the Component board to input this additional Composite SYNC feed).

PLEASE note this method is not always successful - some Digibox models output a poor SYNC signal and the display will not lock onto it.

    02. Get an RGB to VGA converter + a VGA to FIVE BNC cable - and set your display to RGB with SYNC on H&V; this is the bomb proof method and works very well.

    All the best.

    Guys
Thanks for your help. I'll try hooking up direct first if not I'll go to the VGA option...hopefully in time for Sunday!

Apparently Fuji have now fixed this on the 5003/4..wish I'd known!

    Cheers
    Steve
