Fujitsu exits plasma and LCD business

Fujitsu has sold it's flat panel display business to Ulvac, accoring the The Inquirer who are posting news from nikkei.net

Hitachi to take over the joint-venture they have with Fujitsu in plasma, and Sharp interested in the LCD business.

It's true, yes. But nothing changes, only the ownership of the plant and intellectual rights. They will still sell plasma, and as they use other folks glass in a majority of their models, what's the difference?
