I simply can't afford the S9500, so am left with a choice between these two cameras - can get the 20 pro secondhand for 210 quid, 7000 refurb for 260, or either of them new for about 290 - which would you go for and would you go new or s/h (refurb doesn't really matter compared with new I guess...)

anyone, was after some opinions sharpish???
camera has to take XD and microdrive (hence the choices) and I have now found the S20 new for the same 260 quid as the S7000 refurb, so it really is a case of which one to choose regardless of price.....

    Hi Sean

Can't speak for the Fuji S 20,but I bought the Fuji S 7000 a month ago and am very pleased with it.

The batteries that came with it expired after a couple of hours,I then used rechargable 2500 mAh and they last for ages.

    Hi Sean,

I've got the S20 pro, and have had it for a few months now...excellent camera!!

I took it on holiday to Jamaica this year in June, and later to Turkey, and produced some cracking shots. I also took my video camera to Turkey, which decided to pack up on me, so I used the video capabilities of the S20. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality it gave me.

A friend of mine has the S7000, and he has taken some excellent pictures with it, so I guess for you, it really comes down to price...either camera you will be well pleased with!!

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,

    Clive
