Would you consider a £110 offer excluding the scart & game ?

Make it £120 as the courier is costing me £15 to begin with? It's fully boxed and in perfect working order...

The chip can be switched off to go on live but I thought they were also banning if the HD had been swapped? (I use a seperate unmodded box to go online just to be safe) I will supply with the original hard disk if you want to use it for live...

Hmmm my understanding was some mods allowed soft 'switches' to allow XBoxLive use without triggering alarms ... lemme come back to you on this later after figuring out whats-what

Not a problem. Just checking back through stuff about the Xecutor 2.3 , it is fine for use on live as you just disable the chip and boot to live.

Its fine on live as long as you have the HDD that was in there when the xbox first signed up to live.

I am not too sure what I am buying here (xbox newbie) but if this is a modded xbox, with advanced RGB scart to CRT tv connection, and the Xbox Media Center extender software (works with MCE2005 as a wireless extender) and the ability to turn off the mod to go on to Xbox live (to get updates?) then I will take it for £95.

If I have got it wrong and it can't do all of the above then I may have to withdraw my offer (depending on how wrong I have got it).

    Lisa,

I'm the version of XBOX Media Centre is not the one with the Microsoft remote etc. This is the homebrew version which in my opinion works great but I have never tried to use it with a remote, just a wireless controller to navigate the menus. Could anyone advise on if it's possible to use the xbox remote for this?

Hi again, sorry to be a pain I am seriously interested in purchasing this is I can use it as a wireless MCE2005 extender, and will happily pay £95 if this is so.

However, I am unclear about the software that you are supplying, it sounds like it is the Xbox Media Center software, and not the MCE2005 extender software, so I don't think I will be able to access live and recorded tv with it. I think I can get the MCE2005 software imported via Ebay, with the remote for about £50 - £60.

So, would you like to sell me your modded Xbox, with original HDD so I can go on Xbox live to get updates if I need to (how big is it?) and the advanced scart connector thing, and the 2 controllers for £70? Also does it have wi-fi capabilities or do I need a separate dongle? Oh, and how old is the xbox?

Just off to work, but will check in when I can - seriously interested, can pay by paypal or bank transfer, however you like.

Yes you can use the microsoft dvd remote with XBox media center - and for a supposed xbox newbie lisag seems to want to know the answers to an awful lot of technical questions!

To be honest I'd rather just sell the whole thing as a package with the 80gb drive installed. Dropped to £145 inc next day courier. Anyone interested?

OK, I have done my research and I'm back...

So, I'll take the modded Xbox with the original HD so I can use Xbox Live, the two controllers, the xbmc software, and the advanced scart cable, don't want the game, for £90 delivered.

    How do you want payment?

Lisa, I'm afraid I can't let it go for anything less than £95 as that is an excellent price to begin with (getting the chip fitted originally cost me £60!). The next day courier is costing me £10....!

I'll dig out the original drive out tonight and test everything including locking the drive to enable xbox live.

    Lisa,

Sorry but I was offered the full asking price by Chachi who originally expressed an interest and made previous offers.
