Anyone got any ideas about this...

I have Mission m73 floorstanders for my fronts. Unfortunately due to the shape of the room and the girlfriend my only option for placement is either side of the TV, which means they are only about 3 feet apart. :(

Obviously this is affecting my front sound stage, but given that moving them isn't really an option, is there anything else I can do to improve things.

I'm guessing not, but you never know (extra wall-mounted speakers or something...I dunno)

    Cheers

    Herman

I don't understand what the shape of the girlfriend has to do with it.

How about some wall mounted bookshelf speakers??

3 ft isnt very much, even in my limited space I´ve got mine about 5/6 ft apart. Pretty close to the sides as well.

Damn - you beat me to it.

To answer the original poster - well, you probably won't need a centre speaker... OK, not very helpful, I admit.

get some remote head phones:) At only 18 inch from your, tv you want to watch that they don't mess your tube up. Go for bookshelfs, the mission 780's are very nice, and small.

I'll be here for another hour or so, waiting for a job to finish. Then County Antrim will be available for electronic mapping at the Land Registry (well, it will be come Monday morning when the users come in).

In the meantime, I guess I'd better get myself off to Harry Ramsden's for some tea and do a bit more surfing.

    Cheers,
    Liam
